Explode Part 2 (The aftermath)

My breathing slowed and my consciousness returned. The hairs on the back of my neck start to smooth down, and as my vision returns to me from blurry to sharp, I can see my painful hands, outstretched, transforming. My nails are shrinking into my fingers, they seemed to be far too long and almost clawlike, … now back to their usual size, and stinging, aching. I’m wondering what the fuck just happened.

“Not again,” I heave the words out of my throat with my head hung low. Shame. I groan as acid tears fill my eyes; now pretty routine, I’ve become a little less bothered than the last time this happened, but still terrified of myself and enveloped in that lowly feeling of self pity.

“Great(!) …now I can’t fucking see again either!”, I admit defeat, and find a thousand blades to mentally slice myself open with. It happens all at once and my skin is on fire with rebirth, my cells are flooded with Grace and light pours onto my every molecule, speeding the healing up. You know it’s healing when it stings.
